Black Women Don’t Bow to Boys
9 06 2010So I’m a couple of days late but hey “better late than never.” (Drizzy)
On Monday, Vibe posted an article that Slim Thug put together. (Click here to read the article).
First of all let me say that Slim Thug makes a few points that he obviously feel are not only true, he believes they are universal. While I know they are not universal, I do believe his points are true to him and his situation. So in his world “these type” of Black women not only exist, they are flooding his area. I personally find that hard to believe.
However, he does make some points that I think we all can identify with. I know of a couple women who feel like men should pay for everything. I acknowledge that there are dependent women and there are gold digging women – or in the words of LisaRaye – platinum diggers. I also acknowledge that I know women with very high standards. But that’s where the line of realistic agreements with this article ends.
The immediate eye catcher to the article is the title, Black Women Need to Stand By Their Man More.
I’m sure Vibe picked that title because it was controversial and perfect for water cooler conversation, however, I do not excuse Slim Thug for approving it.
To make an absurd statement like that can only come from one without a logical head on his shoulders. It is also an example of why smart women have high standards; to associate yourself with someone who prides themselves with statements like this is scary.
Maybe Slim Thug isn’t aware of the Black women that stood beside Black men before, during and after slavery. Or the Black women that marched right along with Black men during the Civil Rights movement. How about the Black women panthers? Or how about the thousands of Black women who will live life without love because they refuse to accept that a Black man doesn’t exist for them? This even after many successful brothas opt for another kind of women once they find success.
And Black women don’t support Black men?
With everything that Black women have done for and with Black men its obviously overshadowed in Slim Thugs mind because he has chosen to surround himself by the few ignorant Black women that he can find.
And I can’t help but ask—where’s his mother? Is she not a Black woman? Is she not credited with birthing him?
Whatever the relationship with his mother, it is obvious that Slim Thug’s issues are with himself. Maybe if he opened himself up and stepped outside of his box, he might realize that the “type” of Black women that he is accustomed to isn’t the norm at all. It’s clearly just a sign that the company he keeps is a reflection of him.
Black women aren’t perfect. I’m sorry, I actually don’t believe any woman is and for a man to pride himself in glorifying women of other races because she doesn’t love herself enough to know when a man loves her not because she has a brain but because she lacks the intelligence to know she dealing with a man who belittles and devalues her publicly—well that’s a damn shame.
If there’s an issue with the Black woman, she definitely didn’t get there by herself. How many more Black women should struggle to make ends meet because some brotha won’t take care of his kids? How many more Black women should compete for the few good brothas because the rest of them are incarcerated or 30 plus walking around hoping to hit it big with a rap career.
Black women do not bow to boys but she will honor and respect a good Black man with some sense.
And Slim Thug clearly isn’t worth bending your spine over.

According to my own analysis, billions of people on our planet get the home loans at different creditors. Thence, there is a good possibility to get a collateral loan in any country.
